It looks like Team Texas has started to announce protected players. If you're not familiar with protected players, each team in the AAFL can protect players that attended college in their region. Team Texas is restricted to the state of Texas. The first two players announced as protected are:
Wes Bautovich - A former safety for the Texas A&M Aggies
Jason Hunt - A former WR for the DIII Champion Trinity Tigers.
Team Texas has posted entries on its blog by Wes and Jason.
It seems like these guys have worked really hard to get hear and that they are really excited to play. Congrats guys.
